How We Help
1
Identify the Environmental Challenge
We work with the organization to understand its restoration objectives, current practices, constraints, and desired outcomes.
2
Explore Potential Approaches
We help identify promising science-based technologies, practices, and strategies appropriate to the project's needs.
Develop a Demonstration or Implementation Plan
3
When appropriate, we help establish measurable objectives so new approaches can be evaluated against existing practices or other reasonable alternatives
Help Secure Funding
For qualifying charitable projects, the Foundation may conduct fundraising, seek grants, or help identify other sources of financial support.
4
Measure and Share Results
We encourage objective measurement of environmental outcomes so successful approaches can inform future restoration work.
5
Technologies and Approaches
Restoration Ecosystem Foundation does not endorse or exist to promote any particular commercial vendor. We identify and evaluate technologies and approaches based on their potential to advance the charitable and environmental objectives of individual projects. Solutions considered may include commercially available products, established restoration practices, emerging technologies, or combinations of approaches.
Solutions Currently Being Evaluated or Used in Foundation-Supported Projects
Lake Osceola Demonstration — Aquatic Restoration
The project is evaluating TryMarine as one potential approach to addressing accumulated organic material and nutrient conditions in Lake Osceola. Funding raised by the Foundation supports the charitable restoration project and evaluation of environmental outcomes.
